Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why did you leave Rover?

I truly enjoyed caring for pets through Rover, but transitioning to my own business allows me to provide greater flexibility, more consistent communication, and more affordable rates and packages without platform fees. It also gives me the opportunity to build closer, long-term relationships with clients and their pets.

2. How do I book boarding or daycare?

You can book directly through any of the following:

I’ll confirm availability and secure your dates right away.  If a booking is urgent please text or call.

3. Have your prices changed?

My rates are the lower than when I was with Rover since there are no third-party fees. A full price list is included in my Rates.

4. How do payments work?

At this time, I accept the following payment methods:

  • Cash

  • Check

  • Venmo

  • PayPal

A deposit is not required. I will email an invoice for each booking, and all payment instructions will be included.  Payments are due in full at pet drop-off.

5. Will I still get photos and updates?

Absolutely! I will continue to send daily photos (or videos) and updates so you can see how much fun your pet is having during their stay.  All photos on this website were part of updates.

6. Are you insured?

Yes. While I do not provide health insurance, I am fully insured for liability, as required for all LLCs. Your pet’s safety and your peace of mind remain my top priorities.

7. Has anything changed with the care you provide?

Not at all—the care remains the same or even better. Your dog will still enjoy personalized attention, a safe environment, and plenty of love. Operating independently simply gives both of us more flexibility.

8. Do you still offer a Meet & Greet for all new customers?

Definitely. A Meet & Greets is required for all new dogs to ensure a great fit and help your pet feel comfortable before their stay. You will find a Schedule a Meet & Greet button in the menu above to help schedule these.  If dates and times do not work for your schedule, please call me.

9. What is your cancellation policy?

I understand that plans can change. There is no cancellation fee for any booking cancelled before drop-off.  Please review the Terms and Conditions and the Cancellation Policy linked in the footer below for full details.

10. Can I still contact you through Rover?

Since my Rover account is closed, all communication will now be through my direct contact information (phone, text, or email). Texting or calling typically offers the fastest response.

11. Can you board dogs with special needs?

In most cases, yes! I care for dogs with a variety of medical and behavioral needs. Please let me know your dog’s routine—medications, mobility assistance, feeding instructions, etc.—and I will create a care plan that works for them. I am experienced with administering oral, topical, and injectable medications.  For the safety of all dogs in my care, I do not accept aggressive dogs.

12. How far in advance should I book?

Holidays and weekends fill up quickly, so booking early is highly recommended. That said, you’re always welcome to check for last-minute openings.

13. How many pets do you host at a time?

  • For dogs: I limit the number of guests to ensure a calm, comfortable stay and plenty of one-on-one attention.  The final number depends on the needs of the dogs in my care.

  • For cats: I only take cats from a single family at any time.  I accept multiple cats as long as they are from the same family and can share the den.

14. Where will my dog sleep?

Wherever they feel most at home—on the bed, couch, a dog bed, or in a crate (only if provided and required by owner). Comfort comes first.

15. Can I tour the home before booking?

Yes. All dogs and at least one owner must attend a Meet & Greet, which includes a tour of the space to ensure a good fit.

16. Do you accommodate special diets?

Absolutely. I follow your feeding instructions carefully and store all food safely and separately.

17. Do you accept puppies?

Yes—puppies are welcome as long as they are fully vaccinated and meet basic house-manner expectations.
